THE WEEKEND
The Portugal Rugby Youth Festival is the step up: an international touring weekend where your club plays sides from across Europe with the Atlantic just down the road.
Transfers, accommodation, meals and the festival itself are all handled — organisers bring the squad, we bring everything else.
For most players it's their first tour abroad. It tends not to be their last.

THE FORMAT
HOW THE RUGBY
WORKS
Teams arrive in Lisbon by Friday 2 April. On Saturday 3 April each team plays three matches; play-offs and finals follow on Sunday 4 April, two or three games per team. Every team is guaranteed at least four matches. Games are played under World Rugby's age-grade law variations on artificial pitches, so no metal studs are allowed.
Boys: Under 13 (born 1 Sep 2013 – 31 Dec 2015), Under 15 (1 Sep 2011 – 31 Dec 2013), Under 17 (1 Sep 2009 – 31 Dec 2011) and Under 19 (1 Sep 2007 – 31 Dec 2009).
Girls: Under 16 (born 1 Sep 2010 – 31 Dec 2012) and Under 19 (1 Sep 2007 – 31 Dec 2009).
THE PARTY LIVES AT THE PARK
STAY & PLAY
The rugby is only half the weekend. The whole tour stays together on park — and once the boots come off, the evenings take over: fancy dress, karaoke, live entertainment and a dance floor full of teammates and parents. It's the part of the festival nobody plans for and nobody forgets.
